Welcome to the SPARCC On-Line Learning Website! This site was created to help facilitate the integration of on-line learning into the school environment. On-line learning can take many forms such as semester or yearlong courses or through units and modules that can be integrated into the traditional classroom setting.
NEWS: Digital Academy Directors Meetings:
District representatives from school districts in Stark and Portage counties meet monthly to discuss issues relating to the use of on-line courses in their schools. Digital Academy Directors (DAD) meetings are tentatively scheduled for the first Thrusday of each month beginning in September and will be held in the NMK Lab of the SPARCC offices at 2100 38th St. NW, Canton, Ohio.
NEWS: DIAD Listserv to Enhance On-Line Learning
A listserv is way to share information, ideas, and projects and ask questions of those who have similar interests. SPARCC has created a listserv to accomplish these tasks. If you are interested in learning more about how to incorporate NOVA NET, Florida Virtual Schools, Virtual Learning Academy, Moodle, PLATO Learning, as well as the ANGEL and Sakai LMS into your teaching, please subscribe to the DIAD listserv by completing the following steps:
- Send an email to <listserv@sparcc.org>
- Leave the SUBJECT field blank
- In the body of the message, type: subscribe (listserv title) (Example: subscribe TINT)
- Remove or do not include any signature or other information to the body of the message
- Send the email
