EMIS System and Services

Public school districts in the state of Ohio must meet reporting requirements established by the Ohio Department of Education (ODE). The reports reflect a snapshot of data at selected points in time. Districts must submit data specified by ODE and the specifications vary based upon the time of the school year. The specified data includes information relating to staff, students and financial operations.

SPARCC serves as a Designated Data Acquisition site for their member districts. Data is accumulated at SPARCC for the purpose of transfer to ODE. SPARCC provides the products needed by districts to maintain their data, extract it from their respective sources and transmit it to ODE for processing. After the data is received, ODE creates data analysis reports which are returned to the district for their review and action.
